Can I only get personal training or nutritional counseling?  Am I obligated to sign up for both services?

Clients are free to take advantage of only one service or to combine personal fitness training with nutritional counseling.  Each person is unique and has different needs.  During the initial consultation appointment AHA! can determine what the best approach is for each client and make appropriate changes throughout the duration of the client-trainer relationship.

What are the benefits of integrating personal fitness training with nutritional counseling?  I already exercise - isn’t that enough?

To feel healthy and energetic, it is advisable that clients incorporate both bodywork and proper nutrition into their daily lives.  While regular exercise is a big step in the right direction, clients should also be mindful of the importance of proper nutrition and healthful eating habits.  Each person is on a personal journey so some will adopt various positive and complimentary habits, such as fitness and good nutrition, at different phases in their lives.  Again, clients are welcome to take advantage of personal training services without nutritional counseling.  The choice is ultimately yours.

Can I pay per session or are there packages available?  What is the best approach?

You can pay on a per session basis, or you can take advantage of bulk pricing and specialized training programs and enjoy a substantial cost savings.  See pricing information.

I have special needs.  Can you address them?

AHA! sits down with each client and formulates a customized program based on their specific needs and goals.  This interactive process takes place for both fitness and nutritional concerns.  AHA! is equipped to address the unique fitness and nutritional goals of pre-and post-natal clients, those who are stressed and need to incorporate relaxation techniques and better eating habits into their daily routines, diabetic clients, as well as a host of other special needs.

How do you design programs for your clients?

AHA! conducts a personal consultation with each client prior to designing an exercise program and/or nutritional package.  The consultation consists of various assessments including an exercise history form, physician referral (if necessary), food diary, and any fitness tests as appropriate.

I belong to a gym.  Can I still work with you?

AHA! can work with clients at their homes or work sites (and outdoors as the weather permits) to supplement their current fitness routines if they would still like to retain their gym memberships.  Clients can find out if their gym will permit an outside personal trainer to train at their gym and then be willing to pay any extra fees for the trainer to access the gym.  As the client becomes accustomed to a personalized one-on-one training session they may find that they no longer want a gym membership because AHA! is equipped to train clients outside the traditional domain of a health club.

I am interested in a trial personal training session.  Is that possible?

Following an initial consultation the client should be able to determine if they are interested in taking advantage of the services of AHA!  If not, then clients are welcome to pay for their training on a per session basis until they decide to enjoy the cost savings (and results) of a bulk-training program or a specialized training package.
